You can't run a turbo on a N/A engine, it will not handle it. The turbo motor has a stronger block along with stronger internals, and roller cam head....

I've had lots of 2.3 turbos , none have roller followers/cam from the factory.... at least not in the rear wheel drive trubo 2.3's... I suppose it is possible...

What year turbo 2.3's have you had? All the Fuel injected 2.3 Turbos from 83-88 had roller cams(Turbo coupes, SVO Mustangs, and Cougar XR7's, also Merkurs...
