The Anime Community Awareness Project is a mailing list which exists as a public forum for civilized discussion of issues related to the general state and public perception of the anime community. Specifically, this includes discussion concerning any problems which could threaten the general state and/or public perception of the anime community, with the common goal of discovering how we can solve such problems. It is hoped that a member of the ACAP will be committed to leading the anime community by example, using his or her own responsible actions and positive attitude as a means by which to influence others in an effort to maintain a good general state and public perception of the anime community. It is expected that a member of the ACAP will be courteous and/or professional in his or her discussions with other members of the ACAP, most especially in the event that he or she disagree with another member. Patience and respect are absolutely necessary in our discussions if progress is to be made in our efforts to maintain a good general state and public perception of the anime community.
