Dr. Abd Hamid Mat Sain has been practising medicine for more than 20 years and now has a private Surgical practice in Seremban,Malaysia. He is also a Visiting Lecturer of Surgery at a Medical University in Malaysia. He was an Associate Professor of Surgery before retiring.He is also the creator and owner of this Yahoo Group , a web site for medical and surgical advice. In addition to being a member of the Malaysian Academy of Medicine, he is also a life member of the Malaysian Medical Association and a member of the Society of the American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) from Malaysia.

Education:
Dr. Abd Hamid graduated from the University of Adelaide,Australia with MBBS. He then attended medical school at the National University of Malaysia and completed his General Surgery residency at Kuala Lumpur Hospital to obtain the Specialist qualification, Master of Surgery (MS). He is also trained in Digestive Surgery and Minimal Access Surgery at the Western General Hospital and the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh,United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and International College of Surgeons. In addition to that, he was also trained in France and Japan.
