A list dedicated to discussing the music of legendary STAX/Volt recording artists, Booker T. and the M.G.'s, as well as related projects (Blues Brothers, solo work, etc.)

Booker T. and the M.G's are;
Booker T. Jones (keyboards)
Steve Cropper (Guitar)
Donald "Duck" Dunn (bass)
and the late Al Jackson (Drums)

Since Al's unfortunate passing, replacement drummers have included Anton Fig, Willie Hall, Danny Gottleib and Steve Potts.

... Yes, and it's called "Cotton Carnival" on the Union Extended LP. "Up Hard", incidentally, was written by Art Miller, who did an LP for Stax as Art Jerry
