This is the discussion group for Computing Workshop, CS education for students with special needs.

Every student should have the chance to reach his or her potential. We are working with students with autism and other differences to provide the opportunity for these students to go as far as they can, whther this be independent job skills, further education or simply enhanced quality of life. We are particularly interested in providing this opportunity through Computer Science education, but find that this may involve working in areas such as reading and speech along the way.

This list is meant to provide support and information for instructors and parents involved with CW, and welcomes the participation of anyone interested in learning, special needs education, research and development of software in this area.
