Hi, I am sure that we were 240 in BE (1st four year course) and about 90 in BSc (last 5 years course) and we were also the first 10+2 batch from Indian Schools. We were also responsible to send the largest contigent to various Indian Institute of Management at Ahmedabad, Calcutta & Bangalore beside XLRI. We were also the first batch joining many great IT and Electronics companies. I remember Mech. batch joining various entreprenurship ventures, again a trend stared new at DCE. We witness the first "SYNTHESIS". We were part of a revolution started by Batch of 1980 - start of Cine Club, UN-MOC club, Hicking Club and NSS.

We were 1st batch, not as bold as the past yet very much creative in our own right. Bellet Presentation by Engineering Students, yes - we were the 1st. Night (nichachur) by Mandal in the East Hostel or Music boxes by GKM at the west hostel. Sood was the leader of Political Parties at Delhi Univ. and Civil was the one organise the "All India Tour" and had a great time.

We had our best time of life at K-Gate. It was a great place with great people, great teachers, we will always remember every thing from monkeys to monks, from nigam bodh ghat to auto-parts market, from day-scholars to U-spl, from DTC pass section to Church-dinners, from workshop to library on the other side of the lane to common room for different genders, from East to West, dinner out on friday nights, soft music in the night or walk to Sharmajee's night tea shop (later on ISBT) ... .. . . . will that memory ever end !! Thank you all DCEites for making DCE a great place. keep it up by helping the others in need, indeed.
