Description
The French and Indian War is an active community of living historians, re-enactors, research historians, historical writers, genealogists, and other persons interested in the period of time during which the French and Indian War (Seven Year War) was fought. Typical topics of correspondence are military battles, life in camp, material culture of the times, weapons, the social order of colonial America, and just about anything else on subjects pertaining to the eighteenth century. Topics specifically related to re-enacting the period are also welcome and encouraged. Anyone who has a sincere interest in the history before and up to the founding of the United States of America, including those on both sides of that conflict, French, British, Colonial, and Native American are most welcome.
