Description
|
This list supports those who oppose mandatory licensing, legislation, and regulation of the profession of massage and other touch therapies. It is an attempt to form a cogent organization to oppose misinformation or selectively incomplete information on issues of L&L as dictated by the AMTA, NCBTMB, et al. to government agencies and other massage therapists.
We seek members who promote thoughtful discussion and exploration of solutions for managing and encouraging the practice of professional massage within a cultural environment often antagonistic to touch. We believe that the individual skills and goals of our diverse modes of practice should all be respected and appreciated. We support those who wish to be certified for personal reasons, yet
we do not feel it should be a mandatory process.
Personal attacks against participants, multi-level marketing, and sexually-oriented material will not be tolerated. Such material, especially by the newly
subscribed, is grounds for deletion from the list and for reporting of list abuse to YahooGroups.

SB 731 suggestions
Beverly, I understand that you want to resurrect SB731. I think that most of the oppositions to the bill stems from the fact that it is still a practice act.
