Description
Welcome to LaWashington (or "LaWA" for short), a FREE legal e-mail forum for Q&A and exchange of ideas between Washington consumers of legal services, attorneys, health care professionals, and other professionals and "experts" in the legal community in Washington. This page is your web interface for virtually everything you can do on LaWashington.
LaWA seeks to bring people together to help one another and share information. Along the way, we hope that we can increase public knowledge of the law, provide better access to the law and lawyers, and improve public perception of law and justice. LaWA has tended to focus on Tort Law and Personal Injury issues. However, there are no restrictions on legal topics, other than this proviso: whether a question gets answered depends on the interest and expertise of LaWA's membership. If you need more information, please send an e-mail to Help@LaWashington.org. There is also a lot more information, if you need it, in a FAQ message I posted in the Fall of 1998.
Consider joining us. But remember: While it is hoped that LaWashington will provide useful and timely information to its users, it is intended to provide only general information, not legal advice or solicitation. No attorney-client relationship is created by this Discussion Group. As with anything on the Internet, Discussion Group members and on-line readers should not act upon information learned in this Discussion Group without seeking professional counsel. Please contact an attorney in your area to protect yourself. Thanks.
