ABOUT STARS OF DAVID

Stars of David International, Inc., is a non-profit information and support network for Jewish adoptive families from all streams of observance. We are a grassroots, all-volunteer organization with established and newly-forming chapters across the United States and Canada. Stars of David was founded in Massachusetts in 1984 by Phyllis Nissen, an adoptive parent, and Rabbi Susan Abramson, and was later incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in New Jersey.

Stars of David offers a Jewish adoption support network through its chapter membership and provides an extensive clearinghouse of information on Jewish adoption including: a website, a toll-free number, an email address, an email listserv, local and national newsletters, resource materials, referrals, and mentors.
