This list deals with issues that face those defending capital cases, at trial, on appeal and in post-conviction. In addition to issues of traditionally associated with the defense function in death penalty litigation, issues include those relating to law office management, the use of technology in practice, and practice development. This list is intended as a forum for discussion, You must be a licensed attorney and a member of the defense (or the employee/contractee of a licensed attorney, engaged in the practice of capital defense work to participate in this list. Private investigators, psychologists, or other practitioners or professionals who assist in the defense of criminal matters may also join and are invited to participate. The list is not intended for D.A.'s(and deputies), other prosecutors, law enforcment, and other parties involved in the prosecution of criminal defendants.
