The way the definitions are now the classification would have to be V. If you look closely at V/BI dahlias you see that the variegations go into the white tip....

Speaking about slug baits. I would recommend baits based on iron phosphate (like Sluggo). They work plus they are very safe and not toxic for pets or children....
