DarkWorlds on SourceForge
pkDawson has started an open-source, Darklands remake, project on SourceForge called "DarkWorlds". (DarkWorlds was previously another one-man, DL project never really got off the ground and was abandoned -- the new project should not be confused with the prior attempt.) NOTE: be aware this is a GPL project.

Darklands Review (Deutsch) of the German Version
This German-language review on X-Zine.de covers the final release of Darklands, version "7"(483.07), which was the only release available translated into German. In previous releases the modern citizen of the Holy Roman Empire had to be satisfied with English software bundled with translated manuals. (Bugs unique to this German version, many of which have been covered here in our forum, are not mentioned.)

Darklands Review from the Games Domain
Dimitriy A. Levin wrote for the Games Domain what was *the* standard for reviews of Darklands. The Games Domain Review was "the independent online magazine written by gamers for gamers". Now, however, it appears the "Games Domain" is a property of Yahoo!. And, unfortunately, this venerable old article is no longer available.
