I freed up all the memory I can (chkdsk shows 630+k free conventional memory now) but it still crashs. I guess it's a video card issue then? I'm using a Rage...
Thanks for the info.. I didn't think I had that many items, but I will keep a running tally . I already lost a lot of equipment, potions and florins. Good...

On a slightly different sound-related note, I have a question regarding authentically recreating the audio of DL on some newer systems. I have a SB Ensoniq...
... I concur it does not appear to be 255. 64 seems a good number, as it's alot, but not a *huge* number of stuff. I ran into this getting loot off of bandits,...

Just as a note, I have a ATI Radeon 7500, my previous computer had an ATI ALL-IN-WONDER PRO, both worked just fine... Even got Darklands to work right away...
Actually, I too was about to chime in with my own pleasantly uneventful experiences with DL in close proximity to ATI hardware: ...I have used the original 4MB...
... Haven't been that brave yet. ;-) Actually, that's not quite true. It's just that there are so *many* unknown values to tweak and play with that I haven't...
