The Distant Suns Creative Writing Project began back in 2000. It has since passed into (fond) memory. The stories within have served as stepping stones on the path to publication. The writers that belonged to this group, including JM, CB, SK and JR, can currently be found writing (among other places) at the Doom Lounge.

Distant Suns dealt with the lives and adventures of the crew of the Indefatigable, as well as the science and the science fiction of deep space exploration in the year 2380.

To write well, you have to write. That was always the intent behind Distant Suns. That remains the intent behind the Doom Lounge.
