I have a jake on my Eagle 8V92 and it works fine. They don't work near as well as they do on a 4 cycle but they do work. I can desend a 6% grade in high gear...
It is important to keep the rpm up high for maximum braking using the Jake brake system. Gear down as appropriate to keep the rpm in the 1800-2000 RPM range...
