The N&W leased some from the PRR back in 1941(?). Something like that. They were restenciled, but not repainted. The Society did a run like that before Bowser...

On engines they are classification lamps. Marker lights are on the last car. N&W class. lamps were typically mounted on the upper sides of the smoke box front....
