This is the list for REAL dog trainers; where we POSITIVELY train our dogs. If you think any kind of force or aversive training and proofing with corrections is cruel and abusive, this is NOT the list for you! If we want to learn about clicker training or training with no proofing or corrections, we will join the lists where dogs are never trained only cajoled. Reality based AKC competition training, and reliable training methods will be freely discussed. Flaming people for using corrections/aversive methods will not be allowed. If you come here to "troll" be careful, the water is full of sharks :)

The list will remain unmoderated, except for new members to control SPAM. I expect all members to behave with civility.

Anyone who steps over the line will understand why I am called the "ALB" :)

At rdt competitive trainers of every level/venue are welcome to participate, many members are successful AKC competition trainers with a long history of involvement in the sport of obedience. Discussion may be heated at times because of the deep feelings and opinions people may have. Trainers on this list are willing to answer questions and help those who would like help. HOWEVER, do not expect to be treated kindly if you ask inane controversial questions designed to inflame or respond to advice with excuses and the always unwelcome "yea, but." Feel free to ask questions, if you do not like the answers just say thank you and LET IT GO. Expect to be "used and abused" if you sign on only to cause dissension :
