You have reached "The Route 66 eGroup". Also referred to as "The Route 66 Mailing List", we're are the first Route 66 related list on yahoogroups. We were established in January of 1999 and have more than 1300 members! Since that time, we've become "the" place on the Internet to "talk 66!"

We have assisted the National Route 66 Federation in a letter writing campaign to help pass HR-66, the Historic Route 66 Preservation Bill. We've also helped bring to light to the Governor of Oklahoma a pristine section of 66 slated for "update" (i.e. destruction of the old roadbed). Unfortunately, we didn't save them from "updating" that section of road....BUT, a segment of it was trucked to Washington DC and is now in the Smithsonian Institution!!!
