Curently I have my ERP creating one app-file for invoices out. Some of these invoices must go 810 and some must go 880. Tech support says not possible....
I've never tried it that way - I know that by choosing a map in the application to EDI operation, it picks all of the trading partners out from the file, but...
Correct. I had seen some stuff about WRMO.EXE & WRMI.EXE and was curious if maybe I could use them to my advantage, only I don't know how this is done. ...
WRMO is the outbound engine which translates files and WRMI is the inbound translator engine as I'm sure you know. I'm getting into this late and apologize...
Yes they are intermingled. Would it work if they were ordered? ... From: Sylvia Webb [mailto:smwebb@...] Sent: Wednesday, August 07, 2002 3:13 PM To:...
Try ordering them. Remember a header (application id) record must exist between each transaction type. I no longer have STMap so I can't give you more details....
You could try to cut and paste your file to test that, although I suspect it won't work. I can't see how TLW would distinguish, just by the header, which map...
I would think that it would look to the TradingPartner ID in the header, and then choose the map based on which TP it found. Currently if it encounters an 880...
TLW uses the information in the header to select the proper trading partner info and map. Of course the data following the header must be for the 880 as well....
But the trading partner ID could have both an 810 and 880 map set up. when you just have 880 data in there, which map do you choose to run the file? Dan ... ...

Trading Partner ID is linked to the application ID. Both of these values determine which map is used. The application ID for the 810 should NOT be the same...

Hmmm, this is interesting. So, if you have 880 data only, and pick an 810 for application to edi, it maps the 880 flawlessly? Sylvia is probably right that it...
I think you now understand some of my confusion. I just would like to make it work the way I think it should (doesn't everybody!) Thanks, Brian ... From:...
Brian, Can you give me a sample of what the first record in your 810 file is and what the first record is in your 880? This will tell me how much the original...

I am writing an 855 and basing it on a working 850 Invoice. The map compiles OK but when I run it in STMAP I get this error in the View Run Log: 1.(1321)...

No, you did the right thing. It's silly to have to be told to leave something blank (besides, by the time you get to "flow", you've already realized the manual...
Ok, now I have a question for everyone (hopefully, one of you has seen this before). I just made an 830 map for a client, and when I try to run more than one...

If you do that as an after rule in a header element, it should work. On many of my maps, I'll have an after rule in one of the first BIG elements that sets all...
