The 140's are awesome! The 240's are a dime a dozen. The one I devote my heart too is my 1974 164e. Nothing like driving a 164. ...

OK, the main differewnce 240 vs. 140 is that the 140 has the B20 engine in it vs. the 240 which had in 1975 a k-jet B20, then the B21, B23, and later, B230 -...

75 164, when mine gets fully warmed up and you attempt acceleration, it dies like the fuels getting cut off. when you let off the gas it comes back to idle...

I had a 74 164E that did that. It turned out it was the fuel pressure sensor. that's the cylindrical device on the side of the engine bay with the rubber hose...

Hi, ... What you are describing is actually the vacuum sensor - there is no fuel pressure sensor on the 164E as the fuel pressure is regulated by the fuel...
