Rondua is an unmoderated list to discuss the work and themes of the author Jonathan Carroll, as well as to provide a forum for readers to express their appreciation of his stories. Carroll's novels and stories walk the borderline between horror, fantasy, and reality. Some critics have termed his work magic realism, because of similarities with South American writers such as Jorge Luis Borges or Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Grand themes are explored in his stories, such as death, love, guilt, suicide, parenting, and friendship. In this list, participants are invited to share their impressions of Carroll's writing, other art that shares common themes, and news about where people can find this kind of literature.
