Stav-Web is a FREE e-mail forum for use by anyone either involved or interested in Stav, a tradition from Northern Europe that is based upon the teachings of the 16 runes of the Scandinavian Futhark as preserved by the Hafskjold family.

Stav is a philosophy of life that includes many practical applications such as a martial art, healing arts, crafts etc. Stav is based upon the understanding of pre-Christian philosophy and "Norse Mythology".

The Stav-Web e-mail list contains a searchable archive of messages; these include translations of sections of the Eddas and Sagas, articles and other texts as well as FAQs, and of course discussions concerning Stav.

Anyone applying to join Stav-Web will be sent a request to ask if they would mind briefly explaining their interest before we approve them. This is basically simply to avoid automated subscriptions intended to be used to 'spam' the list, to ensure that the person wishing to join is 'genuine', that the e-mail address given is their own and so on. We appologise for the red-tape but hope you will understand that the reasons are simply to try to run Stav-Web as best as we can for everyone's benefit. Normally we approve membership of Stav-Web within minutes of receiving a reply.
